This grant supports expansion of the Healthy Smiles in Our Schools program to additional schools and a new population -- children enrolled in Head Start in South and West Miami. DentaQuest Foundation is partnering with the Health Foundation of South Florida (contributing $75,000) and the Children's Trust (contributing $200,000) to support Borinquen Health Care Center and Community Health of South Florida to provide diagnostic, preventive, and restorative oral health care, education and linkage to a dental home for children in elementary and middle schools (69% of children are under FPL) and providing oral health services to underserved children aged 9-14. Additionally, 2nd and 7th grade children will be targeted for sealants.
