Funding to support Maternal and Child Health Access to sponsor the Education and Advocate: Oral Health During Pregnancy Conference February 24, 2014 in Los Angeles, CA. The conference will increase the knowledge surrounding the peri-natal period and oral health care, and to address the barriers that prevent women from access to oral care during pregnancy. The conference will bring together community-based service providers to learn how they can increase awareness and address barriers that prevent women from accessing oral health resources during pregnancy. A variety of topics will be addressed including billing and reimbursement issues. Maternal and Child Health Access’s activities align with the Foundation’s on eradicating dental disease in children by focusing on the importance of peri-natal care. Grant funds will support the sponsorship of the convening.
