Madhuli Thakkar, BDS, MPH

Biostatistician, Analytics and Evaluation

Madhuli is a Biostatistician in the Analytics and Evaluation team at the DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, India followed by a Masters’ degree in Public Health, with a focus in epidemiology and biostatistics, from Johns Hopkins University. She is also academically certified in Health Finance and Management and Healthcare Epidemiology and Infection Control.

Previously, at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Medstar Health Research Institute, Madhuli provided support to various departments through consultations on clinical research and statistical methodologies. She also analyzed and published data using large observational studies based on national and international administrative medical databases and institutional electronic health records.

Given her clinical experience as a dentist and statistical expertise, she aims to inform future public health practices and oral health policies through pursuing her research interests in social determinants of oral disease, access to dental care for underserved populations, ED services utilization for non-traumatic dental conditions, health economics and dental/medical health integration.
